Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
Andrea
I live in Milan with my wife and two young children.
What path led you to Argos and the position you hold today?
Andrea
I have worked for 15 years in private equity, starting in special situations. I joined Argos three years ago as a director in the Milan office.
Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?
Andrea
During my time at university, I dreamt of starting to work in a restructuring fund after reading a very intriguing thriller, and that’s what I did after a year in a strategic consultancy.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Andrea
I like my job; it is fascinating, and my decisions make a difference. I like my colleagues in our Milan office. The work environment is informal and friendly, so we can address serious matters while still allowing for some amusement during the day.
Some say we are the average of the people we meet. What do you think?
Andrea
In my opinion, the people I have worked with are smart and challenging, so if this defines me, I would be proud.
Is there a person you admire, who inspires you on a daily basis (e.g. a writer, artist, politician, etc.)?
Andrea
I don’t have a single person who inspires me. There are some successful people in our business I look at, trying to understand how to reach a similar path. Generally, I’m inspired by those stories where someone fell down and was able to rise up again, like Steve Jobs, to take an example everyone knows.
How do you balance your professional and personal life? (e.g. family, sports, etc.)

With a lot of caffeine!

Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?
Andrea
I like board sports (kiteboarding, snowboarding, surfing), as well as football and boxing. I love to spend some time with my family and friends, drinking wine and traveling. When I have time, I also try to read some good books.
In another life, you would be... ?
Andrea
I like my life; I would just want longer days.
