What is your definition of private equity?
Rainer
For me private equity is identifying businesses with untapped potential for growth. It’s smart, creative and value-driven. What I find great about it is the diversity of tasks: from deal execution and portfolio monitoring, to investor relations and working with different types of people – advisors, lawyers, intermediaries, entrepreneurs, managers and investors.
Argos aims to transform companies into leading market players. We support expansion through know-how, experience and financial guidance.

Rainer
I am motivated by the fact that we invest in promising companies and transform them in a way that will enable them to develop. My role is to go the extra mile to ensure that something works or is understood. As Warren Buffet would say, “Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing”.
People are an essential part of my daily work: it’s thanks to our motivated team that we can deliver results.
