Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

Nicola

I am married and the father of a child. Together we live in Milan.

Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos.

Nicola

I was fortunate to start working in Private Equity while I was still a student. Before joining Argos, I worked at Taste of Italy, a Private Equity platform managed by Dea Capital, where I focused on investments in the food and beverage sectors in Italy and Spain.

Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?

Nicola

During my studies, I imagined that private equity would be the culmination of my career and instead it happened to be my starting point. I am very happy with the direction my life has taken! Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet great entrepreneurs and to take part in important growth stories; this job allows you to live these experiences in a more all-encompassing way, both professionally and personally, compared to other jobs.

The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. What is your definition of PE? How do you see it?

Nicola

In our quest to express the untapped potential of companies, our role is to encourage entrepreneurs and managers in the critical moments of decision-making and to support them in growing their businesses, in developing human capital and in facing the modern challenges of internationalization and sustainability with a hands-on approach.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Nicola

Enthusiasm, to be experienced with integrity, determination and curiosity about new adventures.

You interact daily with managers. Is there an entrepreneur you admire in the market?

Nicola

Every entrepreneur I have met displays, each in their own way, certain characteristics, such as vision, courage, resilience and the ability to motivate and develop their team members, and I feel great admiration for them.

How do you balance your professional and personal life? (e.g. family, sports, etc.) OR How do you find balance in your life as a whole?

Nicola

I adore travelling and getting to know new cultures, and I also have a love of mountains (hiking, climbing and snowboarding). But in everyday life, nothing beats cooking for my family or the people I love, while listening to a beautiful James Brown vinyl.
