Episode 5

Building the platform – and the people who deliver it

Norline started in 1986 as a floor-insulation installer. Four decades later, it spans four integrated segments, built deliberately through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

With Argos, Norline expanded from single-technology to multi-expertise HVAC+, integrating capabilities across cooling, photovoltaics, welding and floor-heating.

The acquisitions brought more than scale. They brought leadership: CEO Nicolas Scherrer joined through the Xtegrasol acquisition before taking over from founder Hanspeter Acklin – with entrepreneurial DNA intact.

Behind the platform stand its people: ~200 FTEs, +20% since 2023, dedicated 6 to 24-month training by service line and a culture built to hold as the group scales.

Every four years the full company travels together. Most recently: Finland.
