Argos acquires RELEVI, a European leader in private‑label homecare products.

  • With Argos’ support, RELEVI will accelerate its organic growth and deploy an intensive and targeted buy-and-build strategy to reinforce its leading market position.

  • Simultaneously, the group will accelerate its environmental transition and address retailers’ demand for low-carbon products, providing a lasting competitive advantage and further accelerating growth.

  • This transaction marks the 5th investment by Argos Climate Action, the European decarbonisation buyout fund focused on shaping sustainable leaders.

Argos, a European independent private equity firm, through its Argos Climate Action fund (Article 9 SFDR), has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in RELEVI from ProA Capital, which will remain a minority shareholder alongside SWEN Responsible Investments in Sustainable Equity, BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments, Anima Alternative SGR and BBPM Invest SGR.

Based in Italy, RELEVI is a European leader in the private‑label production of homecare products, including gel air fresheners, toilet care, scented candles and pet care. The company operates across its core markets in all Europe, including Italy, Spain, France and Germany and UK.

With nearly 60 years of know-how in the industry, the company is a trusted partner of leading European brands and retailers, producing private‑label, as well as selected branded solutions. RELEVI benefits from strong and long‑standing relationships with retailers, large and flexible production capacities, significant investments in R&D, and a long‑standing commitment to sustainability.

RELEVI is deeply committed to the principles of sustainability and leverages a strong innovation capacity and the development of Ecocert‑certified products in bathroom hygiene and home deodorisation.  The company pursues ambitious objectives to reduce packaging, waste and CO₂ emissions, while promoting a more responsible use of plastics.

RELEVI currently employs over 270 professionals and generated close to €90 million in revenues in 2025.

Positioning RELEVI as an innovation and sustainabilitydriven partner of choice.

Argos will work closely with RELEVI’s current management team, led by CEO Paolo Iacono, to support the company’s next phase of growth. The ambition is to position RELEVI as an innovation‑ and sustainability‑driven partner of choice across homecare niches.

The strategic roadmap will be built around three key pillars:

  • Accelerate organic growth

Leveraging RELEVI’s industrial capabilities to enter new niches through the launch of innovative products.

  • Deploy an intensive and targeted buyandbuild strategy

Acquiring complementary technologies and expanding the product offering, notably in homecare, pet care and personal care.

  • Accelerate the environmental transition to build a lasting competitive advantage

Implementing a comprehensive decarbonisation strategy covering all three scopes, with a focus on energy‑efficiency initiatives, increased use of recycled and bio‑based materials, and the progressive replacement of chemical‑based ingredients.

As major retailers continue to tighten ESG‑related listing requirements, this decarbonisation pathway is expected to significantly strengthen RELEVI’s competitive positioning in an increasingly ESG‑driven market.

Argos Climate Action, the active European decarbonisation buyout fund

Argos Climate Action aims to shape European sustainable leaders by reducing the CO₂ intensity of its portfolio companies by at least 7.5% per year.

RELEVI represents the fifth investment of Argos Climate Action, following Bracchi (an Italian multi‑niche logistics company), Groupe Routin (a French manufacturer of high‑end syrups and ingredients for creative drinks), Lavatio (a leading German B2B textile rental and laundry service provider) and Hexvia (leader in the French moving services market under the brand Demeco).

Following this transaction, the fund will be close to 50% invested across diversified sectors.

Sandra Lagumina and Lucio Ranaudo, Managing Partners at Argos, said: “We are excited to partner with Paolo Iacono and his management team to support RELEVI in the execution of its ambitious growth strategy. We believe Argos Climate Action can significantly accelerate RELEVI’s development by strengthening its innovation capabilities and further enhancing its sustainability leadership, while positioning the company to capture emerging trends shaping the European homecare market.”

Paolo Iacono, CEO of RELEVI commented: “Argos’ approach fully aligns with our vision for the next phase of RELEVI’s development. We share common values, a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a clear ambition for sustainable growth. As sustainability becomes an increasingly decisive differentiator in our markets, we are eager to accelerate our transformation while continuing to grow across Europe, with the support of our new shareholders.”

Fernando Ortiz, Managing Partner at ProA Capital added “We are proud to have supported Paolo Iacono and the RELEVI team in building the company into a European leader in private‑label homecare products. We are confident that, with Argos Climate Action as a new partner, RELEVI is well positioned to pursue its next phase of growth and further strengthen its sustainability leadership.”
