Can you introduce yourself?
Frédéric
My name is Frédéric, and I live near Brussels. I am a happy husband and the father of two sons.
Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos.
Frédéric
I started working for Argos in January 2015. The Brussels office had opened a few months earlier and was starting to feel the need for some IT help. In 2017, I assumed the role of the previous local IT support consultant in Paris. A year later, I replaced the local IT support in the other offices, taking responsibility for all the group’s IT.
I’m thankful the group has offered me the opportunity to have this international position, as I often have the chance to meet and help our teams in several countries. Having worked in our seven offices, I’ve noticed that although we come from different cultures, we share the same values.
Tell us about your job.
Frédéric
At the beginning of 2021, I was appointed CIO of the group, reflecting a change in my responsibilities. Today, my role encompasses a wide variety of tasks ranging from cybersecurity to supporting our portfolio companies on various IT and cyber subjects, as well as a range of IT compliance topics (DORA, GDPR, etc.), not to mention regular meetings with our (future) investors.
How do you see yourself in the future?
Frédéric
A little older? But with the same thirst for learning and desire to improve things through everything I do.
Do you have a place to share with us that reflects you? A place that inspires you and contributes to your balance?
Frédéric
My home, quite simply. As I travel a lot for work, I appreciate being able to come home. I am lucky enough to live in a house in the countryside, where I enjoy the peace and quiet, watching different animals wander into the garden, or reading a good book by the fire in winter.
A word about yourself.
Frédéric
Aside from IT, I’m also passionate about photography. As we value the hidden talents of each team member, I had the privilege of taking individual pictures of everyone on this website, so I hope you enjoy them!
