Paolo Scaroni is an Italian businessman and banker known for his leadership in the energy and industrial sectors. He graduated in economics from Bocconi University and obtained an MBA from Columbia Business School, building a strong international background in management and finance. Early in his career, he worked at Chevron, McKinsey & Company, and Saint-Gobain, where he developed experience in global industrial operations.
He later became CEO of Techint and then Pilkington, strengthening his reputation as a turnaround executive. From 2002 to 2005, he served as CEO of Enel, where he refocused the company on its core energy business and advanced its sustainability strategy. From 2005 to 2014, he was CEO of Eni, leading a major shift toward natural gas and increasing the company’s financial performance.
Since 2018, Scaroni has been chairman of A.C. Milan, and since 2023 chairman of Enel. He has also held several board positions in international companies and institutions, contributing to corporate governance and strategic development in Europe.
