Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
Agathe
My name is Agathe. I spent a large part of my life in Burgundy, and I now live in Paris – an intense city that I’ve learned to truly appreciate!
Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos?
Agathe
Throughout my studies and early career, I’ve always sought a balance between grounded, down-to-earth thinking and a broader strategic vision.
I have a dual academic background in data science (ENSAE) and strategic management (HEC Paris). I then joined a strategy consulting firm focused on accelerating data and Artificial Intelligence transformation. I had the chance to navigate across a wide range of industries – from luxury and energy with CAC 40 companies to private equity firms and small to medium-sized businesses.
After enjoying the variety and pace of working for many different companies, I reached a point where I wanted to channel my energy into one meaningful, long-term initiative – backed by a strong and authentic human culture. That’s exactly what I found at Argos!
Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?
Agathe
Not at all! The role I have today didn’t even exist when I began my studies. I started learning and working at a time when everything was evolving rapidly. I still remember reading my first book on ‘Big Data’ during preparatory classes – just a glimpse into what was coming. And now, here we are, in the midst of the Generative AI era and a global transformation of work.
The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. What is your definition of PE? How do you see it?
Agathe
Yes, the industry has evolved significantly – and continues to do so. AI is clearly one of the major drivers of this transformation. But at its core, I believe private equity remains a matter of partnership and trust. It’s still about building strong, hands-on relationships and working closely with management teams and investors to drive meaningful change.
The feeling that guides you the most in your daily life?
Agathe
Trying to do my best and enjoy it!
What encounter - or moment - has marked your journey at Argos?
Agathe
To describe yourself further: It is said that we are the average of the people we meet. Who do you think they are and how do they influence you?
Agathe
”AI is clearly one of the major drivers of this transformation. But at its core, I believe private equity remains a matter of partnership and trust. “
You interact daily with managers. Is there an entrepreneur you admire in the market?
Agathe
How do you find balance in your life as a whole?
Agathe
For me, balance comes from knowing what helps me feel resourced and making time for it. That means carving out space in my daily routine for small habits that ground me (may it be cooking, sports, etc.), but also planning regular moments to disconnect more fully, like traveling or organizing weekend getaways (we are so lucky in Paris to be connected to so much different places just a few hours away!). I really enjoy planning and preparing such moments, but I also make sure to leave room for unscheduled things, which often turn out to be great memories.
Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?
Agathe
How do you see yourself in the future?
Agathe
I hope to be as happy and balanced as I am today (if not more!). I would like to be able to look back on a period full of learning and tell myself that there are still plenty of things left to discover.
Do you have a place to share with us that reflects you?
Agathe
If you would like to have a direct discussion with me, feel free to
