Can you introduce yourself in a few words? Your age, your family situation and the country you live in?

Lisa

I’m Agathe, 27 years old. I spent much of my life in the Burgundy region, and for the past few years, I’ve been living in Paris – an intense city that I’ve come to really enjoy!

Tell us about your career and how you joined Argos?

Lisa

Throughout my studies and early career, I’ve always sought a balance between grounded, down-to-earth thinking and a broader strategic vision.

I have a dual academic background in data science (ENSAE) and strategic management (HEC Paris). I then joined a strategy consulting firm focused on accelerating data and Artificial Intelligence transformation. I had the chance to navigate across a wide range of industries – from luxury and energy with CAC 40 companies to private equity firms and small to medium-sized businesses.

After enjoying the variety and pace of working for many different companies, I reached a point where I wanted to channel my energy into one meaningful, long-term initiative – backed by a strong and authentic human culture. That’s exactly what I found at Argos!

Is this the path you thought you would take when you started your studies?

Lisa

Not at all! The role I have today didn’t even exist when I began my studies. I started learning and working at a time when everything was evolving rapidly. I still remember reading my first book on ‘Big Data’ during preparatory classes – just a glimpse into what was coming. And now, here we are, in the midst of the Generative AI era and a global transformation of work.

The world of private equity has changed a lot in recent years. What is your definition of PE? How do you see it?

Lisa

Yes, the industry has evolved significantly – and continues to do so. AI is clearly one of the major drivers of this transformation. But at its core, I believe private equity remains a matter of partnership and trust. It’s still about building strong, hands-on relationships and working closely with management teams and investors to drive meaningful change.

The feeling that guides you the most in your daily life?

Lisa

Trying to do my best and enjoy it!

What encounter - or moment - has marked your journey at Argos?

Lisa

Meeting the entire Argos team during our annual gathering, just one week after I joined, gave me the chance to connect with all my European colleagues and learn so much right from the start!

To describe yourself further: It is said that we are the average of the people we meet. Who do you think they are and how do they influence you?

Lisa

Family, friends, relatives, colleagues, and also people you meet occasionally or even once, on a hiking trail, in a book, or on the radio. They guide me to question myself, find what makes sense to me and what I want to achieve.

”AI is clearly one of the major drivers of this transformation. But at its core, I believe private equity remains a matter of partnership and trust. “

You interact daily with managers. Is there an entrepreneur you admire in the market?

Lisa

I’ve recently been particularly inspired by Asma Mhalla, a political scientist who explores how technology is (re)shaping our societies and democracies. What resonates with me is her clarity of thought and her ability to make sense of complex and often overwhelming transformations. There’s a significant difference between experiencing these changes in our daily lives and understanding them at the societal level, where we need to respond collectively and thoughtfully. Her work helps bridge that gap and offers a valuable perspective on the challenges we face.

How do you find balance in your life as a whole?

Lisa

For me, balance comes from knowing what helps me feel resourced and making time for it. That means carving out space in my daily routine for small habits that ground me (may it be cooking, sports, etc.), but also planning regular moments to disconnect more fully, like traveling or organizing weekend getaways (we are so lucky in Paris to be connected to so much different places just a few hours away!). I really enjoy planning and preparing such moments, but I also make sure to leave room for unscheduled things, which often turn out to be great memories.

Outside of your job, what are your passions or commitments?

Lisa

I wouldn’t say I have a single passion, strictly speaking, but I’m always eager to take on new challenges and fully commit to them. For example, a few years ago I discovered hiking, and it quickly became something I look forward to each year. I’ve explored trails in the French Pyrenees, Italy, and Norway. Just before joining Argos, I even went on my first solo hike in Scotland, which gave me a whole new perspective on the experience.

How do you see yourself in 10 years?

Lisa

I hope to be just as happy and balanced as today (if not more!). I’d like to look back on a decade full of learning, and ahead to even more discoveries.

Do you have a place to share with us that reflects you?

Lisa

Any place full of authenticity, with nice music and good food to share with people who matter to me.

If you would like to have a direct discussion with me, feel free to
